Running and Supporting Children and Youth

SWARCO Road Marking Systems is the main sponsor of the Laufclub Neufurth running club and the Kinderhilfelauf Amstetten.

The children’s and youth run of the Laufclub Neufurth running club, as well as the Kinderhilfelauf charity run in Amstetten, are an integral part of the Lower Austrian running calendar. SWARCO Road Marking Systems supports both of these events out of conviction. For many years, furthering the combined purpose of charity and sport as the events’ main sponsor has been close to the Division’s heart. The proceeds of the Kinderhilfelauf Amstetten benefit the severely ill children and teenagers helped by the charity Hilde Umdasch Haus. The goal of the children’s and youth run in Neufurth, Austria, is to support the running club’s work with budding athletes.

28 October 2020 – “Supporting children in need and teenage running enthusiasts is of particular importance to us. This is why, for many years, supporting the children’s and youth run in Neufurth as well as the Kinderhilfelauf Amstetten has been close to our hearts,” says Michaela Reitner, Marketing Manager at SWARCO Road Marking Systems. “We are convinced that running events are ideal for making exercise fun for children while raising their awareness of safety in public traffic areas. And at the end of the day, this is a key issue for us,” she continues. For many years, the Division has been supporting the Laufclub Neufurth running club as its main sponsor. This is especially true when children and teenagers are involved in sport.

Children’s and Youth Run in Neufurth

Early September, the 14th children’s and youth run took place in Neufurth in splendid weather. An excellent turnout of 128 budding athletes took part in this popular event, which was conducted under strict safety precautions. At the time, the legal health measures were still stringent, so the event could take place in a restricted format. For SWARCO Road Marking Systems, it was a perfect opportunity to support children’s and teenagers’ athletic ambitions. Michaela Reitner is delighted: “It was a great event and we had a lot of fun, even though safety was, of course, a prominent concern.”

Virtual Kinderhilfelauf Amstetten

Due to coronavirus restrictions, the Kinderhilfelauf unfortunately could not be held as a “true” event. As a substitute, a “virtual run” was organized. In addition to supporting the charity run financially, SWARCO Road Marking Systems saw its team members participate as athletes. Among the event’s total of nearly 1,000 participants, 35 SWARCO running buddies were present. For the third time, SWARCO Road Marking Systems was the main sponsor of this run. “Even in this unusual form, this charity run was a resounding success, and we were very happy to do our part in it. The proceeds of this wonderful event benefit the severely ill children and teenagers at the Hilde Umdasch Haus, and we gladly support this cause,” Michaela Reitner says.
