Optimising Marking Application

Additives for marking systems can be primers, glues, thinners, reflective materials, anti-skid additives or drop-on material mixes.

A primer improves / enables the bonding of the marking material to the substrate. Therefore the adhesive power of the primer must be strong. Basically, this is only possible on dry, fat, oil, dust and damage free surfaces.

We have developed the corresponding primers for different surfaces (cobble, concrete, bituminous surfaces), the expected load and the marking materials of choice.


Condenser for coldplastic / cold sprayplastic / Thixotropic agents are used to decrease or increase the viscosity caused by high or low material, air or surface temperature.

is used to reduce viscosity due to low material, air or surface temperatures (e.g. in autumn, spring) in order to ease processing and to optimise the embedding of glass beads

Thixotropic agent for coldplastic / cold sprayplastic

to increase viscosity in situations with high material, air or surface conditions in order to avoid trickling off of the material and to prevent the drop on material from sinking in too deep.



Thinners in the context of TLM 06 (Technical Terms and Services for Marking Material – Edition 2006) are additives for marking systems.

They are solvents specifically for marking materials, which can be added to marking materials at certain environmental conditions, in order to optimize the application process. The liquid marking materials get the adequate processing viscosity if the thinner is mixed in.

Additives for 2-Component Systems

Additives for 2-component systems are used to increase or decrease the reactivity or to delay the reaction time / curing time of cold plastic and cold spray plastic.
