ACTROS.net

Perfect connectivity

ACTROS.net Perfect connectivity

ACTROS.net uses standardized communication hardware and a special software package. The group control unit is equipped with Java-based traffic control technology similar to the ACTROS control unit. Functions such as a group timer or traffic-dependent program selection can thus be implemented as performance features. Individually selected components guarantee optimum design and perfect operation.

Benefits

  • Transmission of fault messages
  • Collective transmission of fault messages via GSM
  • Transmission of detector values for traffic-dependent program selection
  • Synchronous API for the implementation of traffic-dependent program selection
  • Synchronous switchover of control units
  • Timer (switchover-dependent program selection)
  • Multiple groups
  • Central time synchronization with DCF (radio clock timer) via NTP
  • Display in control element BDI-2

Technical Details

Hardware
Processor unitStandard module LS2000, which is also used as the ACTROS control unit, OCIT and X-KOM series connection modules. ACTROS.net is controlled via a separate BDI-2 control element.
Communication HardwareStandard terminal server responsible for establishing a network connection with the connected control units via connected modems (Internet protocol IP). Alternatively: GSM modem for transmission of SMS-based fault messages. Parallel inputs and outputs can optionally be connected to the group control unit via IO64 module.
Software
ACTROS.net interconnectionBased on the OCIT software used also in the traffic controller.
ConfigurationControl of several groups of devices by means of a timer or traffic dependent program selection.
Traffic technologyA traffic technology function with a one second clock rate is available for implementing traffic-dependent program selection. The detector values in the control unit are sent to ACTROS.net as aggregated detector values (traffic density measurement of vehicles/second); the detector occupancy level for the measurement interval is also sent to ACTROS.net. In this connection, the values are delayed by 10 seconds. By means of parameters (the traffic technology variables of the ACTROS control unit), it is also possible to read and set specific traffic-related values in the group control unit, thus enabling control interventions, which go beyond the selection of signal programs.
Message typesFault messages of the connected control units, status information, (status of the door, detectors and lamps, power failures), current time source (central, local radio clock, internal quartz clock).
