What you will do
The SWARCO UK/Ireland business has an open vacancy for a Regional Business Development Manager (South) – this role will be Home/Field-based. You will mainly work on our B2B/B2G sales across the UK and Ireland – this will involve frequent travel across the UK (occasionally across Europe) with some overnight stays.
The manager will lead all business development and account management activities within the region, ensuring a robust and well-managed sales pipeline. You will also:
- Developing a comprehensive regional Account Growth strategy, taking responsibility for customer engagement and pipeline growth.
- Forecasting and reporting on the pipeline conversions using our dynamic CRM system (name of software) and using this information to drive pipeline growth and strategic account acquisition.
- Deliver Market Intelligence to the SWARCO business – serving as a subject matter expert on market trends, competitor activities and procurement strategies.
- Ensuring regional order intake targets are exceeded across the entire SWARCO product (and systems) portfolio.
Profile
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years’ experience of successful business development/strategic sales experience -OR- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Business – any experience with Technology, Infrastructure or any public sector market.
- Any experience in ITS or complex B2G sales (local/combined authorities and government bodies.
- Formal sales training from one of the major sales philosophies (ie. SPIN, Miller Heiman, Challenger Sales).
- Proven success with a large/entire product portfolio – while building a comprehensive / complimentary solution.
- Travel – Full UK Licence with the willingness to Travel extensively throughout the region with overnight stays.
