SWARCO completed Young Mobility Ambassadors Program AT & GER 2025/2026

Classes from three federal states receive YMA Awards.
Politician enthusiastic about SWARCO’s initiative.
Teachers speak of strong appreciation shown by SWARCO.
On April 17, 2026, the award ceremony for the second round of our Young Mobility Ambassadors Program took place at the SWARCO TRAFFIC WORLD. A total of 68 projects from schools across Austria—and for the first time also from Baden-Württemberg, Germany—had been submitted to the expert jury for evaluation. Project manager Danijela Stevinovic was delighted by the high quality of the submissions and the far‑above‑average level of commitment shown by the young participants.
This time, the topic “Why alcohol and drugs have no place in road traffic” reached more than 1,100 students. The critical subject was addressed creatively through comics, videos, apps, board games, songs, and posters. Once again, our goal of inspiring young people to take a greater interest in road safety and empowering them to become road safety ambassadors was fully achieved.

Particularly noteworthy
Tyrolean transport policy maker René Zumtobel dedicated nearly three hours to listening to the project presentations, following the jury’s assessments, and congratulating the winning classes. He gained new impulses on how awareness of road safety can be further advanced at regional level and praised the quality of the award‑winning projects. The song “Kein Happy End” (“No Happy Ending”), created by class 5B of Oberpullendorf Grammar School, not only sent shivers down the spine but also has great potential to be played on the radio in the future.
After a light lunch and a short guided tour of the TRAFFIC WORLD, students and teachers were ready to take on a trial American football training session with SWARCO Raiders legend Florian Grein. In summery temperatures, everyone worked up quite a sweat at the American Football Center in Innsbruck before heading home.
The Jury

What is YMAP?
The Young Mobility Ambassadors Program is a SWARCO initiative that empowers young people to become active voices for road safety. Aimed at students aged 14 to 19, it invites them to contribute ideas and projects that support safer, smarter mobility.
