The EV Rally of Scotland is underway

This week Martin and Bob set out on their journey around Scotland in support of COP26

In light of COP26, the importance of showcasing the Scottish EV charging infrastructure to the world is critical. This week sees the start of the EV Rally of Scotland (#EVROS). The event will see drivers of four teams cover 1200 miles across a five day event. The route will take the teams to 30 checkpoints across some of Scotland’s past and present key landmarks including the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre, The Kelpies, Tongue Causeway, John O’Groats and MSIP Dundee to name a few.

The drivers will be looking to bust the myth that the infrastructure is not in place to allow for cross country travel, whilst also demonstrating the clean and pioneering technology that is readily accessible country-wide.

SWARCO is one of the official sponsors for the EV rally and will be driving as part of #teamKia in the spacious Kia Niro.
Represented by our very own Head of Operations, Martin Symes.  You can follow Martin’s journey with live updates on our twitter channels @SWARCO_Charging and @eConnect_UK.
All of the teams can be tracked live with the help of Webfleet solutions and DriveTech technology on the EVROS site – https://evros.uk/LIVE

The event is working in sponsorship with an array of companies looking to drive the EV sector into the future – including Maxus, KIA, Sellantis, Polestar, AA, Vanarama, SWARCO, MSIP, Webfleet Solutions, Drive Tech, Mercedes Commercial and The Herald.
