Technical Services Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead and develop our Technical Services function within SWARCO.

This role is focused on improving operational performance, strengthening technical governance, managing escalations and developing team capability across our technical support and platform services environment.

We are looking for a strong operational leader who can bring structure, accountability and continuous improvement — while working collaboratively with Service, Projects and Delivery teams to improve customer outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the Technical Services team and day-to-day operational performance
• Managing escalations, major incidents and service improvement activities
• Driving SLA/KPI performance and reducing backlog issues
• Improving technical governance, upgrade planning and lifecycle management
• Developing team capability, training and progression pathways
• Improving communication and collaboration across Service, Projects and Technical teams
• Supporting hosted, software and digital platform services

Profile

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Experience leading technical service or support teams
• Strong operational leadership and escalation management skills
• Experience improving processes, governance and service performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
• Technical credibility across software, hosted systems or infrastructure environments
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience within parking, ITS, traffic, transport or technology sectors
• Knowledge of service management / ITIL principles
• Experience supporting digital or cloud-hosted platforms
