What you will do
We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Traffic Technician / Electrician to join our Dublin field operations team.
This is a hands-on, shift-based role working within a fast-paced operational environment, supporting the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) infrastructure across the road network.
You will play a key role in maintaining safety-critical roadside and motorway technology, responding to faults and reactive call outs, carrying out planned maintenance activities, and supporting the successful delivery of new installations. The role requires a strong electrical background, excellent fault-finding ability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Working as part of a close-knit operational team, you will help ensure vital transport infrastructure remains safe, operational, and compliant while maintaining high standards of workmanship, customer service, and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and maintaining ITS equipment to a high standard
- Completing planned maintenance activities, inspections, and electrical testing
- Responding to fault reports and reactive call outs within contractual KPI timescales
- Diagnosing and resolving faults across roadside and ITS infrastructure
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of new project works
- Ensuring all fault records and maintenance data are accurately recorded within management systems
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers, trainees, and apprentices
- Liaising professionally with customers, managers, and operational teams
- Completing project paperwork, timesheets, and associated documentation accurately and on time
- Ensuring company vehicles, tools, equipment, and PPE are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
- Following all company Quality, Health & Safety, Security and Environmental procedures at all times
- Supporting the development of apprentices and junior team members
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Work outdoors on live roadside and motorway infrastructure
- Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair activities
- Attend reactive call outs and emergency faults within agreed response times
- Work safely at heights and within live traffic environments
- Support installation and commissioning activities on new ITS infrastructure
- Ensure RAMS and safe working practices are followed at all times
- Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and operational teams
- Assist in achieving maintenance KPIs and operational targets
- Attend training courses and toolbox talks to support ongoing professional development
