Challenge

As a Production Assembler in our impressive Production facility in the beautiful Melsonby, North Yorkshire, you will be involved in working with our friendly production team on assembling and testing of our Traffic Signal Controllers, Variable Message Signs and Associated Equipment

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard inline with company procedures. Within the role there is an expectation of completing Cable and connector preparation, termination, Wiring Loom assembly and fitting out enclosures inline with company drawings and SOP’s.

You will be expected to Identify and assist in the implementation of opportunities for continuous improvement, production cost reductions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful applicant should have experience of Wiring Loom assembly, general assembly, working with detailed drawing packs and quality inspection and control methods.

• A strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions, drawings and procedures accurately
• A positive attitude towards quality, safety and keeping the workplace clean, tidy and well-organised
• Flexibility to move between different work areas or tasks as production demands change
• Previous electro-mechanical or assembly experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided
• An interest in hands-on manufacturing, assembly or engineering-based work
• Confidence using basic tools or a willingness to learn how to use them safely and effectively
