VSB-PLUS Voice Audio Transducer

VSB-PLUS produces a high quality audio output, which will automatically adapt according to ambient noise levels, ensuring clear audibility in all conditions. Audio output can be initiated using a push button, relay, or by radio control. A single VSB-PLUS unit can operate several pedestrian crossings, minimizing equipment and installation costs. In the event of a power outage, all recorded audio material is retained.An optional Bluetooth® connection enables wireless configuration and programming.


The housing of VSB-PLUS is made from polycarbonate designed to protection class IP65. The exterior loudspeakers are resistant to water and moisture ingress. Installation on traffic signal poles is achieved using hanger brackets and Metz bands similar to those used for the signal. To prevent vandalism, the recommended mounting height is above human reach.


Two condenser microphones monitor the surrounding ambient noise levels and adjust the audio output to compensate and provide consistent volume levels in all conditions.


VSB-PLUS can be operated by a remote control unit. A radio receiver operating in the 433 MHz band processes the demand call. This demand is acknowledged by a confirmatory reply signal. This signal also serves to provide the user with information regarding the pedestrian crossing layout, such as one way, or two way traffic, and any divided carriageways. VSB-PLUS then provides audio confirmation when the signals change and it is safe to cross.
