Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann visits SWARCO TRAFFIC SYSTEMS

The Minister of Transport of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Winfried Hermann (Bündnis 90 / Greens), visited the head office of SWARCO TRAFFIC SYSTEMS in Unterensingen, accompanied by members of his staff. With great interest and technical know-how Mr. Hermann was informed about the latest innovation regarding air pollution control and products in the field of traffic technology and management. Apart from the expertise in large-scale projects like the traffic guidance center in Hamburg, the most modern in Europe, the Minister was excited by the company’s innovative strength in the field of ecological transport. The trend-setting emission prognosis module “TERM” – with a 36 hour prediction of traffic-related NO2 and particulate matter emission and options to avoid rising concentrations – as well as vehicle to infrastructure communication in cooperative systems and the know-how in e-car charging infrastructure were the main topics of the conversations with the minister.
