In addition to our unparalleled range of products, SWARCO Traffic Limited offers a comprehensive service package to our customers, providing a one-stop-shop for equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and life cycle maintenance support, for both our own, and third party supplied traffic technology products.

Skilled Resource

Managed from our Service Centre in Milton Keynes, SWARCO’s team of field engineers cover the whole of the United Kingdom. All engineers and technicians undergo a rigorous training programme following their induction to the Company, and an ongoing training programme, tailored to each individual’s needs, is designed for continuous personal development and to ensure that all statutory and regulatory training requirements are kept up to date.

SWARCO’s site vehicles are equipped with tools, spare parts, PPE, traffic management, and first aid kits. All electronic equipment is routinely calibrated. Vehicle trackers are fitted for lone worker protection.

Quality Assurance

To achieve successful project delivery, it is important that the supplier demonstrates high levels of quality awareness and implementation in practice - throughout all areas of the delivery process. SWARCO recognises this and have standing established procedures in place to ensure that a consistent and high quality solution is delivered, from the design stage, through manufacture to installation and commissioning of all aspects of a project.

All suppliers that are chosen to support SWARCO are market leaders in their field and have many years’ experience of delivering high quality systems to customers throughout the world. Swarco are ISO 9001 2008 accredited and insist that all organisations that we deal with have a similar high quality approach to system delivery.

Health and Safety

Health and safety is paramount to SWARCO, and our approach ensures that we are able to maintain a safe working environment for our staff and members of the public. SWARCO is accredited to BS OHSAS 18001, and all aspects of our activities are audited annually by an external certification organisation. Additionally, all SWARCO site staff are accredited to the Highways Electrical Works Sector Scheme (SS8), with training portfolios kept for each member of staff, and their training needs reviewed and updated as part of the annual appraisal system.

SWARCO has developed a comprehensive library of risk assessments and method statements, which form part of our quality management system, and cover the majority of our on-site activities. Contract specific Health and Safety plans are developed as required on a project by project basis.

All sub-contracting partners used by SWARCO are required to comply with our Health and Safety regime, and are included in site briefings, and health and safety induction programmes at the inception of any works programmes.

Fault Management

SWARCO operates a comprehensive fault management system capable of handling fault reports received from a variety of sources, including customers, members of the public or defects and problems reported by others. Fault tickets are dispatched directly to the site engineers, who are equipped with hand held devices to capture all the relevant information. The engineer is able to access manuals, fault history, and drawings directly from site, which facilitates effective and quick fault resolution. The engineer records all actions taken to resolve the problem and close the fault report. The fault management system generates a response to the customer confirming all actions take on site. Fault support is provided on a 24 hour basis, with SWARCO engineers on call at all times.

System Support

With over 70 parking guidance and sign management systems installed, SWARCO has a proven capability to provide remote systems support for monitoring, software maintenance, routine upgrades, and problem diagnostics. Access to customer systems is provided via private secure links, and this facility enables SWARCO to provide rapid response to customers on all aspects of system operation. Additionally, telephone support and training are provided to ensure that the maximum benefits of the system are realised by our customers.
