SWARCO MIZAR, M. SWAROVSKI GmbH and SWARCO LIMBURGER LACKFABRIK GmbH are together taking part in SAFE STRIP (SAFE and green Sensor Technologies for self-explaining and forgiving Road Interactive aPplications), a European funded project started on May 2017, which will run for 3 years.


SAFE STRIP aims to introduce a disruptive technology that will achieve to embed C-ITS applications in existing road infrastructure, including novel I2V and V2I, as well as VMS/VSL functions into low-cost, integrated strips markers on the road.

27 September 2017 – 1st Pan-European SAFE STRIP Workshop


The SAFE STRIP project Consortium will organize its 1st Pan-European Workshop to be held on September 27 in Thessaloniki, Greece, as a forerunner to the 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH (ICTR 2017).


The workshop will bring together all of SAFE STRIP’s stakeholder clusters to discuss priorities regarding the goals of the project. The focus of the discussions will be on SAFE STRIP’s targeted applications and use cases in alignment with European-level priorities and roadmaps in the domain of C-ITS.


The programme will begin with a presentation of the vision and implementation approach of the project, and will be followed by key note speeches by renowned experts in the field. The workshop will conclude with a roundtable discussion among all participants around the goals of the project in convergence with the latest progress and roadmaps in the C-ITS domain.
