Dynamic Parking Guidance Signs
Display Systems
Opt for SWARCO's DPGS and receive the latest display technology.
The information motorists probably appreciate most while travelling into crowded areas is the availability of parking spaces and directions to get there. SWARCO has different display technologies for this purpose:
- LED technology (Light Emitting Diodes): display of available spaces, or „Free“/“Full“/“Closed“
- Prism technology: „Free“/“Full“/“Closed“ display (4 messages can be shown if a square instead of a triangular rotating body is used)
- LCD technology (Liquid Crystal Display): display of available spaces, or „Free“/“Full“/“Closed“

Display of the current parking space situation via green, yellow, or red light-emitting diodes in matrix arrays. A fixed display of the words „Free“/“Full“/“Closed“ is also common (e.g. „Free“ in green, „Full“ and „Closed“ in red). Generally, LED arrangement is either realized as plugged-in bundled LED chains, forming e.g. 3 different fixed words, or as a freely programmable full LED matrix. LED displays, due to their night time dimmable super-bright LEDs are highly visible, durable, and require minimum servicing. |

Prism technology may be used for „Free“/“Full“/“Closed“ displays. It can also be a supplement to the parking space display. For example „Free Spaces“, „Full“, „Closed“, „Reserved“ or a neutral picture. Prismatic signs only require power for a short period when changing messages, making them ideal for solar powered applications. Depending on whether triangular or square rotating bodies are chosen, three or four different messages are possible. |

The visually attractive and elegant LCD technology permits display of the current parking situation by using highly legible, reflecting LCD characters. Additional informative text using a highly legible proportional font is also particularly easy to implement with this technology. Night time illumination of LCD displays can be realised by back lighting (white LEDs, or fluorescent tubes). Outstanding legibility is therefore guaranteed in all situations. |
