CD9054 Classification loop detector

The CD9054 loop detector is a 4-channel loop detector especially designed for traffic data acquisition according to TLS. It is certified by the German Federal Highway Reserarch Institute.

The CD9054 is a classifying loop detector, operating with two induction loops per lane, in accordance with TLS specifications. It is available as 2, (5+1), or (8+1) class version. TLS accuracy requires TLS loops. Activation of directional logic allows the detection of wrong way drivers and reporting. Vehicle types are determined by stored passing curves for either TLS loop type.

Only single-vehicle data is transferred on the RS485 bus, e.g. to a TLS-FG1 IOC, taking over further data aggregation in accordance with TLS specifications. The detector auto-adjusts to the attached loop/feed-cable combination. Temperature variations have no influence on data acquisition. The measuring systems are permanently checked for short cuts or open loops, once a definite malfunction is detected, systems are put into failure status. If only one loop of a TLS double loop system is disturbed, the remaining loop supplies further data on time of occupancy, time gap, and a car-similar / truck-similar classification. Short measuring intervals and a new speed measurement procedure provide for the high accuracy and detection speed.
