RECORD CONTRACT FOR SWARCO NORDIC

Norra Länken ("northern link") is one of Sweden’s largest highway and infrastructure projects. Basically, it is a 16 km highway and tunnel system in the centre of Stockholm. Norra Länken will create benefits for both the local residents and the road users and will also have significant positive effects on the environment and traffic safety in Sweden’s capital city.

Trafikverket, the Swedish Road Administration, has now officially awarded the Norra Länken main contract for electrical installations, control systems and traffic management solutions to TUNNELENTREPRENAD AB, a joint-venture between SWARCO NORDIC and GOODTECH. GOODTECH’s excellent proficiency in engineering services and SWARCO’s traffic management expertise are an ideal combination to guarantee state-of-the-art know-how and competence for this large project.

The project’s base contract value is about 52 MEUR (excl. options). It starts in November 2010 and lasts until 2015, followed by a 5-year service contract, including overall responsibility for maintenance and technical operation.
