NEW LIGHTING QUALITY FOR WATTENS ROUNDABOUT

The roundabout near the Wattens highway exit now beams in a new lighting quality. In cooperation with the Wattens Office for Public Works, SWARCO recently equipped the 6-armed intersection in its home community with state-of-the-art LED street lights of the FUTURLUX brand.

The pilot installation, which replaces the former sodium vapour lamps, includes a total of 14 luminaires of the types FUTURLUX HEAD and FUTURLUX BEAM which shed a very uniform, neutral-white light on the roundabout. The "Klimabündnis-Gemeinde" Wattens thus underlines once more its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental soundness, as the LED street lights from SWARCO not only introduce a new lighting quality, but also help the community reduce its expenditure on the operation of street lighting. The 6-module LED luminaires each offer an enormous light flux of 9000 Lumen while requiring only 84W power. The FUTURLUX lights are produced by SWARCO FUTURIT in its Neutal-based production facility in Burgenland.
