MANFRED SWAROVSKI HONOURED WITH GRAND DECORATION IN SILVER

On May 25, Manfred Swarovski, founder and CEO of SWARCO, received the Grand Decoration for Services to the Republic of Austria in Silver from Günther Platter, governour of the Austrian province of Tyrol. Wattens in Tyrol is the location of SWARCO AG, the headquarters of the SWARCO Group, which includes 80 subsidiary companies in 20 countries and has almost 2,600 employees world-wide.

In 1969 Manfred Swarovski founded the glass bead factory M.Swarovski GesmbH in Amstetten in Amstetten, Lower Austria, which paved the way for the formation of SWARCO.
