BIKERS FROM GERMAN PARLIAMENT STOPPED AT CRYSTAL WORLDS
06/06/2011
Over 160 motorbikes impressively parked on the helicopter landing platform in front of the SWAROVSKI Kristallwelten. The "Sportgemeinschaft Deutscher Bundestag e.V." made a stop in Wattens and was welcomed by SWARCO with sunny weather and a lunch buffet. The reason for this was the 12th International Friendship Tour taking the bikers from Berlin Reichstag via Austria, Slovenia and Italy among others to Wattens.
The motorcycle freaks of the Sports Community are members of the German Parliament, officers in the Bundestag Administration, representatives of media or managers of industrial corporations. The 5-day tour's charity motto this year read "Germany helps Japan" and was quite exhausting for the bikers also from a physical point of view, given numerous kilometres over the roads of picturesque Alpine passes.
In the SWAROVSKI Kristallwelten, Tyrol's Deputy Governor Hannes Gschwentner, Wattens' Mayor Franz Troppmair, Crystal Worlds Manager Andreas Braun and SWARCO boss Manfred Swarovski welcomed the guests from Germany. A brief overview on SWARCO's large portfolio and the numerous locations all over Germany complemented the official programme, before the bikers went to see the "Chambers of Wonder" of the Crystal Worlds while not refraining from buying one or the other crystal souvenir.
In the evening the biker group moved on to Munich main station for the piggyback trip by train to Berlin.
