Keeping Highway Safety in Sight: SWARCO INDUSTRIES INC. was founded in 1973 as a manufacturer of reflective glass beads for reflective highway safety applications. In 1979, SWARCO INDUSTRIES expanded its commitment to the highway safety market by introducing a full line of temporary and permanent marking tapes that safely guide traffic through detours, construction zones or high traffic roadways. As the demand for better pavement markings and highway safety increased, SWARCO INDUSTRIES introduced its line of durable, environmentally safe thermoplastic marking compounds in 1986. The innovative Rumbler, a unique audible warning system, was added to the product line in 1999.
