SWARCO INDUSTRIES LAUNCHES NEW PREFORMED THERMOPLASTIC PRODUCT LINE

Swarco Industries recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of a new preformed thermoplastic production line. The new production line was erected in a 24,000ft² facility in Columbia, TN and will produce preform thermoplastic used for intersection markings and specialty markings in traffic and non-traffic markets. The plant will service markets in the United States, Canada and Latin America. The product offering will initially include white and yellow colors in 3 foot flat sections in 90 mil and 125 mil thickness, with plans to develop the product offering to include specialty colors including blue, red, green and orange along with custom designs and logos.

The new product development has been ongoing the last two years based on Swarco’s 25 years of thermoplastic marking compound formulating experience. The product will utilize premium Swarco glass bead technology and application techniques to provide superior reflective properties and performance.
